Nos complace anunciar que el 10 de julio de 2026, los socios de la Cooperativa de Crédito Federal Healthcare Employees Mid-Atlantic (HEMA) votaron a favor de fusionarse con la Cooperativa de Crédito de la OPS/OMS, con efecto a partir del 1 de septiembre de 2026. Ese mismo día, la cooperativa de crédito resultante de la fusión iniciará una nueva etapa con el nombre Cooperativa de Crédito Bienestar.

La Cooperativa de Crédito Federal HEMA y la Cooperativa de Crédito de la OPS/OMS comparten una misión común: ayudar a las personas a llevar una vida financiera saludable. Al unirnos, aprovecharemos ese propósito compartido y seguiremos creciendo junto a los socios y las comunidades a las que servimos, hoy y en el futuro.
Nuestro nuevo nombre, Cooperativa de Crédito Bienestar, refleja nuestro compromiso con el bienestar financiero y el bienestar general de nuestros socios. Asimismo, representa la unidad y las posibilidades que nos esperan.
A partir del 1 de septiembre, los socios de la Cooperativa HEMA pasarán a formar parte de una cooperativa de crédito sólida y financieramente estable que ofrece mayor comodidad y una gama integral de productos y servicios financieros. Estamos llenos de entusiasmo por el futuro y por contar con ustedes en este viaje.

Service Disruption FAQs
Como parte de la fusión,
- La Cooperativa de Crédito Federal HEMA cerrará sus oficinas a las 2 pm del viernes 28 de agosto de 2026 y no volverá a abrir hasta el 1 de septiembre de 2026.
- La Cooperativa de Crédito de la OPS/OMS estará cerrada el lunes 31 de agosto de 2026
- All branches will reopen as Bienestar FCU on Tuesday, September 1, 2026
Accounts and Direct Deposits FAQs
- If you currently receive direct deposits from MedStar Washington Hospital Center or National Rehabilitation Hospital into your HEMA account, NO ACTION IS REQUIRED at this time. Your direct deposits will automatically transfer to your Bienestar FCU account.
- For direct deposits from any other employer or source, you will need to update your direct deposit instructions after September 1, 2026, using Bienestar FCU's routing number and your new Bienestar FCU account number.

Yes. Your loan account number will slightly change from your current HEMA FCU account number with a letter suffix, to your new Bienestar FCU account number with a number suffix. Please check your next statement for the updated account number or contact us
