PAHO/WHO Federal Credit Union has won the Maryland & DC Credit Union Association Marketing Trailblazer Award in the Wildcard category for its yearlong 75th Anniversary celebration. The MDDCCUA Marketing Trailblazer Awards recognize outstanding marketing and communications achievements in a variety of categories by credit union asset size. Aligning with the “Sharing Wellness” theme, PAHO/WHO FCU celebrated its 75th anniversary by spotlighting global health leaders, sharing financial wellness tips, and promoting acts of wellness throughout the year. PAHO/WHO Federal Credit Union Sponsors Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10-Mile & 5K Green Corral
PAHO/WHO Federal Credit proudly supported the 2025 Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run & 5K Run-Walk on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Known as “The Runner’s Rite of Spring®” in the Nation’s Capital, the event raises funds for the 170 Children’s Miracle Network Children’s Hospitals nationwide. About one-third of the funds raised support Washington, D.C.’s own CMN – Children’s National Hospital. In addition to having some employees participate in the 10-mile run, PAHO/WHO FCU once again sponsored the Green Corral and volunteers stood ready to help runners as they crossed the finish line at the 10-mile station. In 2024, credit unions raised $550,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile & 5K.

PAHO/WHO FCU Celebrates Women's History Month
After an all-staff training, the executive team had a surprise for employees. In celebration of Women's History Month and International Women's Day, employees were treated to a breakfast prepared by the men on the team. As a gesture of appreciation, women were given priority at the buffet line. To top it off, the women received special swag bags, while the men took charge of cleaning up. Teamwork makes the dream work!
